The Finance and Banking Undergraduate Program aims to educate qualified graduates who possess a strong theoretical foundation and applied competence in finance, banking, and related disciplines; who think analytically; who have a well-developed sense of ethics and responsibility; and who are able to compete at both the national and international levels. In line with this aim, the program is conducted in full alignment with the quality assurance system of Balıkesir University, the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ), and the principles of the Bologna Process.
The program's teaching and learning activities are planned, implemented, evaluated, and improved on the basis of a student-centered learning approach, learning-outcomes-based education, continuous improvement, and stakeholder participation. The quality assurance system relies on the holistic evaluation of program outcomes, course learning outcomes, measurement and assessment processes, and the feedback obtained from students, graduates, and external stakeholders.
Program outcomes are reviewed regularly; their alignment with the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ) Level 6 (Bachelor's) qualifications and with Bloom's Taxonomy is assessed, and the necessary updates are made. The cognitive and affective levels of the program outcomes are classified taxonomically, associated with the national qualifications framework, and documented in a way that encompasses the program's courses.
At the course level, the relationship between course learning outcomes and program outcomes is systematically monitored and evaluated. Within this scope, the views of students and graduates are gathered through the Learning Outcome–Program Outcome Evaluation Surveys (EK-3) conducted on a course basis; in light of the findings obtained, the LO–PO contribution matrices are reviewed and, where necessary, updated. Survey results are recorded through the EK-4 Survey Results Reports and used in continuous improvement activities.
All of the program's quality assurance activities are carried out within the framework of the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle. In line with the data obtained from teaching and learning processes, program outcomes, course learning outcomes, and course information packages are updated regularly; the improvements made are monitored and documented within the scope of the quality assurance system. In this way, the continuous development of the program is ensured through an outcome-based, measurable, and stakeholder-oriented understanding of quality.
