2026–2027 Academic Year Orientation Meeting Held at Our Department

An orientation meeting for first-year students newly enrolled in our department for the 2026–2027 Academic Year was held by our department on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Kırmızı Salon (Red Hall).

The meeting was attended by our Faculty Dean, our Head of Department, our department’s teaching staff, and our first-year students.

During the program, students were given a detailed introduction to Balıkesir University, the Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences, and the Department of Finance and Banking through prepared presentations. Following an overview of our university’s history, campus facilities, and opportunities, information was shared on our department’s education process, course plan and curriculum structure, internship practices, the academic advising system, the use of the Student Information System (OBS), the Erasmus+/Farabi/Mevlana exchange programs, and the career opportunities available to our graduates in banking, insurance, finance, and auditing.

Students were also informed about our department’s program educational objectives and program learning outcomes (PLOs), our approach to quality assurance in education, and the ongoing STAR accreditation activities. The importance of student feedback and stakeholder participation in the continuous improvement process was emphasized, and students were encouraged to regularly share their views and suggestions with our department.

The program concluded after students’ questions were answered and they had the opportunity to meet our teaching staff. We wish all our newly enrolled students a successful academic year.
