External Stakeholder Visits Carried Out by Our Department

With the aim of strengthening the alignment of its program educational objectives and program learning outcomes with sector expectations, and of increasing external stakeholder contribution to its education and internship processes, our department carried out a series of external stakeholder visits to banks, professional organizations, and sector representatives in the district of Burhaniye, where our Faculty is located.

Within this scope, the branch managers of banks operating in our district were visited: Melih Baloğlu, Burhaniye Branch Manager of Ziraat Bankası; Gökhan Aykan, Burhaniye Branch Manager of İş Bankası; Mahmut Sadık Kılören, Burhaniye Branch Manager of VakıfBank; Nihat Karaoğlu, Burhaniye Branch Manager of Yapı Kredi Bankası; Gökhan Özdemir, Burhaniye Branch Manager of Garanti Bankası; Ayşe Başaran, Burhaniye Branch Manager of Halk Bankası; and Mustafa Uğur Orhan, Burhaniye Branch Manager of DenizBank.

In addition, Hasan Varol, re-elected Chairman of the Burhaniye Chamber of Commerce, and Secretary General Ersel Pazarbaşı were visited in their offices, where congratulations were extended for their new term of office. As representatives of the accounting and insurance sectors, which are closely related to the field of finance and banking, Certified Public Accountant Hilmi Ol and İrfan Çetin, owner of the Özçetinay Insurance Agency, were visited, and their views and suggestions regarding our program and our students were obtained.

During the meetings, our department’s education program, the internship and employment opportunities for our students, the sector’s expectations regarding qualified workforce, and potential areas of cooperation were discussed. The views and suggestions received from our external stakeholders were recorded to be taken into account in updating the program educational objectives and program learning outcomes and in developing the curriculum.

Our department will continue to maintain cooperation with the sector and external stakeholder participation on a regular basis, within the framework of a continuous improvement approach.
