Internship Process Evaluation Meeting Held at Our Department
An Internship Process Evaluation Meeting was held by our department with the aim of assessing the effectiveness of the internship process and ensuring its continuous improvement.
The meeting was attended by our Head of Department, the teaching staff members of the Internship Committee, and our students who had completed their internships.
During the meeting, the overall operation of the internship process, internship documentation and insurance procedures, the suitability of the host institutions, the professional knowledge and skills gained by students during their internships, and the difficulties encountered were evaluated in line with our students’ views. The feedback received from the students was addressed in relation to our department’s program educational objectives and program learning outcomes (PLOs). In this context, the results of the internship evaluation surveys administered to our students who had completed their internships and to the representatives of the host institutions (employers) were also discussed at the meeting, and the views of both students and employers were evaluated together.
The views and suggestions expressed were recorded and brought to the department’s agenda to be assessed within the framework of the continuous improvement (Plan–Do–Check–Act) approach. The meeting concluded with evaluations aimed at developing the internship process in line with student gains and sector expectations.
Our department will continue to regularly collect stakeholder views on the internship process and to use this feedback as a key input for enhancing the quality of internship practices.
