External Stakeholder Visits Carried Out to Banks in the Edremit Region

With the aim of strengthening the alignment of its program educational objectives and program learning outcomes with sector expectations, and of increasing external stakeholder contribution to its education and internship processes, our department carried out a series of external stakeholder visits to banks operating in the Edremit region.

Within this scope, the branch managers of the relevant banks were visited: Bircan Şerefoğlu, Branch Manager of Yapı Kredi Bankası; Hakan Özdemir, Branch Manager of Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank; Nadir Orhan, Branch Manager of QNB Finansbank; Himmet Taşkın, Branch Manager of Akbank; Hamza Erkan Kuyumcu, Branch Manager of Türkiye Ekonomi Bankası (TEB); and Yeliz Doğan Cırık, Branch Manager of Türkiye İş Bankası.

During the meetings, our department’s education program, the internship and employment opportunities for our students, the sector’s expectations regarding qualified workforce, and potential areas of cooperation were discussed. The views and suggestions received from our external stakeholders were recorded to be taken into account in updating the program educational objectives and program learning outcomes and in developing the curriculum.

Our department will continue to maintain cooperation with the sector and external stakeholder participation on a regular basis, within the framework of a continuous improvement approach.
